Harbour Gate presents “Art at the Harbour” 2021

Harbour Gate is back with its successful art exhibition “Art at the Harbour” which runs now in its fifth year. This year’s series kicks off on February 21 with the art display “Exuberance” by Madhu Sarda and her daughter Sejal Sarda.

Nepalese artist, Madhu Sarda, has explored and harnessed the intricacy of patterns and designs that touch people’s heart. Her colourful paintings pay homage to her Himalayan homeland. Her distinctive personal style radiates positivity and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of her deep-rooted culture. Nature is her muse and mundane scenes from her life and travels find expression in her brush strokes. Her ever growing experience of art strongly resonates with her, “When I travel, I’m captivated by the stories of people, nature and cultures, and art gives me a way to translate these experiences and relive them.” Madhu Sarda is no newcomer to Harbour Gate. She participated in various group exhibitions held in this prestigious location over the past years. “Exuberance” is 44th “Art at the Harbour” exhibition at Harbour Gate.

Sejal Sarda’s art emanates the vibrant spirit and individuality behind ordinary faces one regularly encounters. She is an aspiring artist who specialises in contemporary/realist portraiture. Currently a student in St. Christopher’s School, Bahrain, her distinctive personal art style consists of variety of mixed-media to enhance the versatility of her subjects. Soulful eyes, harmonious features and heartfelt smiles are all brought to life with her contrasting colours, texture and bold compositions. Sejal Sarda’s portraits reveal the beauty behind being unapologetically yourself.

“Exuberance” is on display from February 21 to March 11 and is located on the ground floor at Harbour Gate within the Bahrain Financial Harbour masterplan, easily accessible from King Faisal Highway, opposite Bab Al Bahrain. Visitor parking is available. Harbour Gate is open daily and entry to the exhibition is free.
