Exploring ‘hidden gems’ of the GCC

Bahraini content creator Amar Alshaikh jumped behind the wheel of a Nissan Patrol as part of a mighty team of eight GCC natives embarking on special expeditions to highlight ‘hidden gems’ across the region.

Nissan’s sole distributor in Bahrain, Y K Almoayyed & Sons (YKA), collaborated with Mr Alshaikh (Instagram handle: @amaralshaikh) to explore ‘uncharted territories and celebrate Bahrain’s unique culture’.

As part of the ‘Nissan Patrol 8 Adventures’ series, he took viewers on a road trip delving into the kingdom’s rich heritage, uncovering its vibrant culture, and exploring iconic landmarks including Manama Suq, the island’s magnificent mangroves, the picturesque Karzakan woodland and he even made a splash paddle-boarding at Bahrain Bay.

Encompassing the spirit of adventure and eight influencers set off on individual journeys with the iconic Nissan Patrol, documenting their experiences. Presented in a multi-episode series, each adventure takes viewers on a unique journey, illuminating the rich cultural tapestry and varied landscapes of the region.

The series also showcases the unparalleled capabilities of the legendary Nissan Patrol, traversing from desert landscapes to towering mountains and bustling cityscapes – with each adventurer experiencing a common thread of ‘exploring home’.

Since its introduction in 1957, the Patrol has become woven into the local culture of the region, creating unforgettable memories passed down through generations. Combining refinement, innovation and connectivity, the 2024 Nissan Patrol continues to defy the ordinary with its sheer off-road prowess and cutting-edge technologies, its designers say.

The Nissan Patrol 8 Adventures series is now available to watch on the Nissan Middle East YouTube channel. The hero of the series, the iconic 2024 Nissan Patrol, is available in a variety of trims and with the added choice of a 4.0-litre V6 or a 5.6-litre V8.
