Wetex to feature 18 top German companies

The upcoming 21st Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex 2019) in Dubai, UAE will feature the participation of 18 leading German public and private organisations.

The organisations included Siemens, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA).

The exhibition is organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) from 21-23 October  at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The exhibition coincides with the 4th Dubai Solar Show, under the umbrella of the sixth Green Week.

The German pavilion will feature innovative products and technologies in smart integrated grids, automation, Big Data, solar energy, CSP, asset management, smart area solutions, water treatment, irrigation technologies, cooling and heating pumps, mobile and fixed pumps, tanks, cables, valves, leak reduction solutions, water testing, waste treatment and wind energy plants. In addition, the pavilion will display thermoplastics and turbines, and energy efficiency.

“By organising Wetex, we aim to provide an ideal business environment for sponsors, exhibitors and visitors to hold meetings. Over three days, we will provide innovative services and exceptional opportunities for participants, visitors and all stakeholders, so they can make full use of the exhibition,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dewa and founder and chairman of Wetex.

“It brings together manufacturers, service providers, industry experts, officials, decision-makers and commercial buyers in the UAE and the region, to engage in fruitful interaction and explore promising business partnerships.

Over the past 20 years, Wetex has witnessed the launch of many innovative technologies for the first time in the region, in addition to the signing of investment agreements and important partnerships, that have changed the face of the energy industry, both regionally and globally,” added Al Tayer.

The UAE is Germany’s topmost Arab trade partner, while Germany is the UAE’s seventh largest trade partner in the world and the largest European trade partner. The UAE accounts for 22 per cent of the total Arab-German trade. Non-oil foreign trade between the two countries in the first nine months of 2018 amounted to $9.3 billion, with a 122 per cent growth in UAE’s exports to Germany. Re-exports grew by 69 per cent compared to the same period in 2017.

Furthermore, Germany is investing € 50 million in its 4,500-sq-m Sustainability Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Besides, 231 German companies have confirmed their participation at Expo 2020 Dubai through the Expo’s e-portal so far. – TradeArabia News Service
