Eolisair, the French specialist in indoor air quality, will be exhibiting at The Hotel Show as part of Design and Hospitality Week from September 17-19.

Raising awareness about indoor air quality, Eolisair will be exhibiting their range of products at Sheikh Saeed Hall 3 B81 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The key product that will be on display includes the Eolis Air Manager, a professional air purifier with an advanced and unique filtering system that consists of five different filters, each of which is tested individually by independent laboratories. Eolis Air Manager treats various types of air pollutants including smoke and bad odours, Viruses, Bacteria, Dust, Pollen, Fine Particles, VOCs and Gas.

The team will be demonstrating how indoor air is eight to 10 times more polluted than outdoor air, with the three main air pollutants identified as Fine particles of sand (PM2.5), VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and microorganisms. Research warns that long-term exposure to poor air quality can lead to asthma, lung cancer, cardiovascular risks, Alzheimer and many more ailments.

Air pollution is one of the key issues in the Middle East region. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Air Pollution is estimated to kill about 500,000 people annually in this region (1 out of every 10 deaths).

Research conducted by Dr Shirin Al Suwaidi, assistant professor of Allergy and Immunology in Internal Medicine at UAE University, suggested that more than one-third of adults in the UAE suffer from allergic rhinitis and among the different types of allergies, inhalant allergies are by far the most common allergy. The main sources of air pollution in the Middle East are natural sources, pollutants such as sand, dust mites and sea salt. The other sources are occurred due to human activities such as transport and industries.

Very aware of the risks that may be caused by poor indoor air quality, Dubai Municipality has created a set of recommendations and thresholds in its Green Building Regulations and Specifications developing a range of strategies, policies and studies to address the air quality challenges of the growing city. One of the most important strategies is the Air Quality Strategy which aims to implement a smart, innovative and sustainable approach in achieving the 90 per cent target of clean air days set by the National Agenda UAE Vision 2021.

Speaking on behalf the company, Ludovic Labidurie, CEO of Eolisair, commented: "We look forward to exhibiting our products at The Hotel Show and to further educate the market about the quality of air and how it can affect daily lives. Thanks to Dubai Municipality and their research, we have clear guidelines on what the air quality requirements are and we will be showcasing how it can be achieved with our products."

Eolis Air Manager professional air purifier is supported by several scientific reports conducted by independent laboratories such as Envrio' and industrials solutions Middle East (official laboratory mandated from the Dubai Municipality), URS testing laboratory, TIPEE laboratory, IFTH, TERA environment and more. It has also been certified by a number of French and international organisations on its effectiveness, which will also be shared with visitors who enquire about the company and product range at the conference.

“We also hope to offer insights on how the purification of indoor air can have life-changing effects and we are excited to meet and interact with stakeholders and to have conversations on air quality control with them.”, Labidurie added.

The indoor air quality market is one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. Expected to reach $11,403 million by 2025, it has an outstanding CAGR of 12.2 per cent.

“Our strategy over the next five years is to keep up our efforts spreading awareness about indoor air quality. Indeed, we are planning to open new branches in the Middle East in order to continue to help professionals providing excellent indoor air quality,” Labidurie said. - TradeArabia News Service
