MaK Middle East brings value through service excellence

MaK Middle East, a Caterpillar company established in Dubai in 2017, said it continues to reinforce its commitment to excellence in the region by providing quality services and sustained innovation.

The company, a direct distributor of Caterpillar’s medium speed engine brands MaK, CM and EMD, as well as Napier and KBB turbochargers; has a dedicated facility in Dubai Maritime City providing engine maintenance and component servicing in its workshop, said a statement.

The company also serves as a base for the supply of spare parts and components used in the repair, maintenance, upgrading and refurbishment of vessel, rig and power plant engines, it said.

To ensure quality and add high value to its offerings, MaK and EMD service engineers have been transferred from Caterpillar’s Singapore and UK operations into the Dubai hub and turbocharger engineers and technicians are trained and certified at the Napier factory in Lincoln UK and the KBB factory in Bannewitz, Germany.

The company’s service team is highly skilled, holding an average twenty-three years of industry experience. The management team brings more than one hundred years of experience in marine, oil and gas and power plant industries to the Middle East. The combination of technical competence and business expertise coupled with decades of industry experience; ensure the highest standard of services delivered to customers in the region.

As part of the initiative to further enhance its reach and exposure to customers with direct service solutions, the company opened a new branch in Fujairah this year, expanding its reach within UAE to serve a wider range of customers.

In addition, the company is now officially registered in the Sharjah Ports of Hamriyah Freezone, Al Khalid and Khor Fakkan, enabling service delivery in those facilities.
