Ithmaar Bank B.S.C. (closed), a Bahrain-based Islamic bank, announced that Ithmaar Bank Manager of Information Technology Department was honoured for participating in the second edition of the Lamea National Programme.

Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has honoured Abdulrahman Rashed Bucheeri, Ithmaar Bank Manager of Information Technology Department, during a ceremony held under the patronage of His Highness.

Following the ceremony, Ithmaar Bank Chief Executive Officer, Abdulla Abdulaziz Taleb congratulated Bucheeri for his achievement and wished him continued success.

“On behalf of Ithmaar Bank and its employees, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the team of Lamea National Programme, which aims to create promising youth leaders, and establish a strong and rich base of youth competencies in various locations and fields in the Kingdom,” said Taleb. “This in return will contribute significantly in allowing Bahraini youth to participate in realising the Kingdom’s vision to enhance its national economy through the partnership between the private and public sectors,” he said.

“We are delighted that Abdulrahman has been honoured and we are proud of his distinguished performance and efforts during his participation in Lamea National Programme,” said Taleb. “We are also proud to participate and support this initiative through encouraging our employees’ participation and facilitating their work duties to enable them to be part of the programme. Ithmaar Bank continues its long-standing commitment to recognise its employees’ achievements and excellence, especially that we believe that our success depends on our Bahraini capable talents and their outstanding performance,” he said.

“I am very happy and grateful to participate in “Lamea” National Programme and representing Ithmaar Bank,” said Bucheeri. “Participating in such national programmes contributes in supporting youth to develop their capabilities and discover their talents. It also helps to prepare them to be qualified leaders in the future,” he said.

Lamea Programme, which is managed and executed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs (MYS) in cooperation with other official entities, aims to discover and develop Bahraini youth talents as well as creating youth competencies through providing them with skills and guidance to become young leaders among different sectors. This in turn will contribute to the Kingdom’s economic prosperity.
